houses, or villas, or apartments to distract you from the game, just
you and nature...and please don’t let the view spoil your game
either! |

Castro Marim
5466 metres, par 72
Opened in 2001, Castro Marim is located on the eastern fringe of the
Algarve close to the Spanish border. It is set among rolling hills
and offers some spectacular views of the mountains and the sea. It
is a well designed and maintained layout but many golfers would need
the services of a buggy. It is only about 30 minutes drive from Faro
and well worth playing. |

Quinta
do Vale
6511 metres, par 72
A new course, designed by Seve Ballasteros, in Castro Marim beside
the Guadiana River which marks the border with Spain. Opened in 2008
it is a fine golf course layout with 6 par 5's, 6 par 4's and 6 par
3's. The opening hole sets the tone for Seve's first course in
Portugal: a par five with a stream across the fairway at the end of
a good drive, the green is tucked in behind a water hazard on the
left side. This course is a great test of golf. You can view 14 of
the holes from the clubhouse veranda. |

Costa Esuri (West)
The West Course is a long course, over
7,300 yards long of American style, with very wide fairways, and
exquisite shaping of the greens, with spectacular views to Portugal
and to the Guadiana River.

very well integrated in the slope towards the salt marshes of the
Guadiana River, and with views to the sea and the town of Ayamonte.
It is a more technical course than the West one.
